  • Battle.NET and all it’s possibilities

With the upcoming great new features of Battle.NET, cross-server and cross-game chat and friendlists for example, I have been wondering about what other possibilities it will bring to Blizzard’s current games and upcoming releases.

Ever thought about sending items not only across servers or factions, but also sending them cross-games.  I doubt Blizzard would ever allow you to send your T10 armors from WoW to Starcraft II (altho that would be awesome), but I think they will allow you to send cosmetical items across games; vanity pets, seasonal gear, stuff like that. Especially with their new and up-coming mmo this would be a great option.

Another thing that Blizzard is very busy with expanding at the moment is their guild system in World of Warcraft, it wouldn’t strike me as weird if they would allow you to expand your guilds beyond WoW and into their other games, sharing guild tabards, guild chat, officer chat and all other perks that come with a guild.

How about payed character transfers, not only inside WoW, but also to the new MMO franchise? They might not do it at the very start of the new mmo, but chances are they will after a few years, when WoW will really start to become stale. At that point Blizzard will not want to loose their customers, so why not convince them to try out a new game with their existing characters.

Personally, I think Blizzard has a real winner with their new Battle.NET and I really can’t wait to see if any of my ideas will ever be implemented.

What do you think about my ideas, maybe you got some ideas of your own, let us know by using the comment form below.
