Something that got pretty much ignored by the whole WoW community is this little sentence from MMO-Champion

“On a non related sidenote, I would also like to point out that the old Emerald Dream maps that have been in the game files for years have been slightly updated throughout the 3.2, and in the Build 10072 of the PTRs the Map.dbc file with some of the settings for each zone was updated to make it a 40 Players max zone.”.

It was posted right below the now-famous screenshots of the new Haloween masks, but with everybody tripping over new race speculations, this tiny bit of information got plainly ignored.

So, what does it mean? Well in my opinion it probably means that the Emerald Dream will be in the new expansion and since it will be 40 Players max it must some sort of pvp-zone, which doesn’t really makes sense to me, but it can not be a raid zone since Blizzard has stated numerous times that they will not bring back the old 40man raids. /confuzled

Maybe this will finally be the often-requested raid-zone where Alliance and Horde have to work together to reach a common goal, such as beating the Emerald Nightmare, who knows?

In case you’re wondering, yes the title is supposed to be the way it is spelled and punctualised, anyway…Hero Classes is what we’re discussing here. My first idea was that Tinkerer would fit the new goblin race perfectly as a hero class, and ofcourse it would also fit the Gnome race as a hero class, leading to more proof that Goblins would be a Horde race, and not Alliance. With this logic it would make perfect sense as the new hero class for the next expansion. BUT…I recently stumbled upon a very interesting series of articles on www.projectlore.com.

In short the articles discuss the possibility of an Arch-Druid or a Druid of the Sun as the new hero class. After reading this article it occurred to me that a new druid type Hero Class makes much more sense than a Tinkerer, mainly because the Emerald Dream would be in the expansion and each faction only has 1 druidic race, which is a shame if you ask me.
