The Pandaren starter area – more panoramas

For the past week I have been making 360 degree panoramas of Blizzard Entertainment’s new World of Warcraft expansion pack: Mists of Pandaria beta. They are mostly from the Pandaren starting area, which you play from level 1 through 12, after that your Pandaren gets to choose which faction you want to join: the Horde or the Alliance and then a nice hot air balloon will transport you to your chosen faction’s capital city. The panoramas are build by taking a crapload of screenshots and then importing those into Microsoft ICE, which is a nice free piece of photo stitching …

I was reading this thread on MMO-Champion earlier today, about some guy who got lied to by Blizzard. I didn’t think much of it, and found it only mildly entertaining. But now..I log into World of Warcraft, and Blizzard is lying to me too!!

So Blizzard decided to make your name public on their forums..I don’t see why people throw such a tantrum about that, anyway, it does lead to some funny shit being posted everywhere. I saw some nice vids on youtube last night, ctrl-alt-del made a funny about it acompanied with a nice blog post. After reading this article http://projectlore.com/blog/the-next-expansion-future-tradeskill-design/comment-page-1/#comment-38962 I got to thinking about the new profession for the expansion… A new expansion will ofcourse mean a new profession, lots of speculation is pointing in the woodworking direction. Woodworking, however, has been rumored with for years now and it doesn’t seem like Blizzard will be implementing one soon for numerous reasons. Would woodworking be a crafting or a gathering profession, or maybe both? Either way it will cause a lot of problems. If it would be a crafting profession there is the question of what mats will you use? If it’s a gathering profession …
