The Pandaren starter area – more panoramas

For the past week I have been making 360 degree panoramas of Blizzard Entertainment’s new World of Warcraft expansion pack: Mists of Pandaria beta. They are mostly from the Pandaren starting area, which you play from level 1 through 12, after that your Pandaren gets to choose which faction you want to join: the Horde or the Alliance and then a nice hot air balloon will transport you to your chosen faction’s capital city. The panoramas are build by taking a crapload of screenshots and then importing those into Microsoft ICE, which is a nice free piece of photo stitching …

So, today I got a beta invite for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. And, just as I did with the beta of Cataclysm, I decided to make 3d/panorama screenshots of the world. Here is the first one, composed of over 60 screenshots, the starter area of the Pandaren. Currently I am busy documenting the Pandaren starter area, doing all quests there and making nice photosynths and panoramas of all the cool and interesting looking scenery. Even tough, this document is a fake it does mean that people are already growing tired of Cataclysm and are looking out to the next big thing in the world of WoW.
